If that was a diff, you'd say that the case depth on the gears was too shallow or too soft and the faces of the teeth were being wiped off under load.

So is there something I am doing wrong? Stock clutch, atlas 2 speed, and decent driveshaft angles. .456 gears.?

Here are both shifters I have, one is the one that was installed, the clean one, and the other was my spare. Both have a slight twist, so I assume they need it to assist in shifting. Both have some wear.

Sorry your TJ was made with a NSG transmission , what a continuous German nightmare. They all have some problems , but you have hit the BS jackpot. Hang in there !

Wow, I know right where this is. I live fairly close by. I drive by on 89 all the time. if you want a second set of eyes I could swing by some time and look it over.
