2005 Rubicon - Manual transmission (NSG 370), and transfer case are sitting on my bench, no longer in the rig. I need to start the engine.

My plan is to use the bellhousing from the trans (which I already need to separate anyway to replace the input bearing, and seal), so I can bolt the starter and and CPS back up.

I'll also need to bypass the clutch interlock, short out the 4-lo indicator... or I guess just push the clutch in and douche the fluid everywhere since it's goingto need to be re bled anyway

I will make sure my fan blades are clear.

anything else that I'm missing? I'd welcome informed opinions or first hand experience. Thanks!

You may want to take a look at that transmission and get back to us on how you're going to take a bellhousing off

Your transmission does not have a removable bellhousing. Gonna need to grab an AX15/NV3550 bellhousing from somewhere if you wanna do that so you can mount the starter. Which then depending on how well you need the engine to run you’d need to install the older flywheel and older crank position sensor in the older location on the AX15 flywheel.

For the clutch you could just unhook the MC rod from the pedal and then lodge the pedal up against the floor.
