TJ / LJ Full Door Panels Available From Summit

If I was a betting man, I'd put my money on Summit just agreeing to fund the fruits of some very motivated individuals and their work to get this stuff done. Nothing against Summit whatsoever but they have never struck me as the innovators for something like this. This seems like it comes from motivated enthusiasts with some great connections. I've been wrong before and will be again though.

Right, but that is exactly what I am saying. The normal on-line Jeep vendors didn't do it, but Summit did.

Great! I don’t see the dark grey color available , are they gonna do it.?

That would be the slate color...

Order Placed. Summit absolutely earned a customer for life if these are as advertised.

Well this is wonderful news. My body shop guy did his best to fix my cracked, faded ones and it looks like a 7/10 but this will take it back to a 10/10.

With the help of some Team members and my own Jeep, we have made a reproduction of the discontinued full door panels and improved the area that was prone to splitting. We have made all the factory colors from actual OE samples and we included new clips and window handle clips also. I have installed several samples before approving them to be made. They are a tight fit and once installed look fantastic.

Thanks Kevin.

Good morning, I thought I would share some installation tips that helped me installing these door panels.
1. Remove the door panel screws.
2. Roll window into down position.
3. Remove the window crank clip, it can be challenging at times and I included more in case it goes missing!
4. Lift up the rear of panel and try to wiggle back and slowly lift panel off the top edge behind the window felt and remove door panel.
5. Remove old door panel pull handle and pre-install into new panel before installing, its a tight fit and just make sure you can see the clips that the screws go into.
6. Install the plastic clips and you may need to push them on with a big flat blade or something similar.
7. Start the upper door panel ledge, that's behind the window felt first and push towards the front of the door along the ledge. This part takes some patience and it will go once you find the sweet spot.
8. Make sure all the clips are centered to the holes before pushing the clips into place! they are plastic and will just snap if not centered. I made them with a nylon mix to help with some flexibility and included many extra's.
9. Now screw the pull handle into the door and finish screwing the screws around the outer edge of the door panel.
10. Remember that we used original door and trim pieces to color match these panels and they will be really close or slightly off to your original trim pieces in your jeep. You have to realize, that there were several different dye lots used and different manufactures for the OEM, and colors were always off between them.

Feel free to add or replace these instructions as we go through installing these. I used my own jeep to test fit these and they look fantastic.

Can you send me some pictures or an eBay link to review and research about those please.

Thanks.

I’m being stupid man….half doors only need to lower panel…the upper is the window part -

Just messin around

Really appreciate Summit and you guys bringing good things to market.

Thanks Kevin.

Added a dual seat heater for our Jeep foams, installed in my jeep and they work great. One 2" round controller and both LH and RH upper and lower seat heater pads with all wiring.

None of those colors look right for my '98. I though the interior was a light blue, but it's faded quite a bit so not sure. Is it supposed to be the grey ones?

@toximus created an interior color thread many years ago. Maybe that'll help:
