I thought you guys would enjoy this-
So this morning the worker told me he didn’t understand what happened when we did the installation he knows he built the cabinets like she wanted.
Well if you built them correctly why do we have to change them three or four times and then take them apart and build new ones?
Also like she wanted doesn’t matter if it doesn’t work.
It’s up to the professional to make sure that your project works even if the customer doesn’t understand constructibility. Sometimes you have to stop and communicate to them the reason you need to build it a certain way. Not just do it wrong. Take Blaine for example what if he did somebody’s brakes the way they told him versus the way he knows how to do it- and they wadded up at a 4 way.
Here is what I want to point out - what he lacks is called spatial reasoning. This is the ability to think in 3D.
It can be developed- But typically if someone doesn’t have it as long as they’ve done this it’s probably not coming.
So what do I do?
I simply work around it.
From now on he doesn’t get to do any takeoffs.
We’ve seen glimpses of this and this is just further proof.
