Lolll @ 60mph. Not sure if that ad is for a CJ-3B or CJ-2A, but my friend's CJ-2A can barely break 50mph on a flat road and it's screaming when doing so. 45mph is more realistic.
The 2A that still lives in our yard used to do 60 on the flat, but it was pushing it pretty hard, the slightest up hill and it slowed down pretty quick. That was right after my dad and I had rebuilt the entire brake system, put a new clutch in it, painted it and put a new top on it, back in the 1900s... (@1990 or '91). Grandpa put a lot of mountain trail miles on the odometer after that and when he died in '97 it got parked. She's in need of a major overhaul now.
Edit: That's also when very few select gas stations still sold leaded regular 103 octane fuels
