In Arizona we have an advantage, swamp cooler. Turn that baby on and open whichever door/ window you want the dust to exit and it just rolls out. Plus I'll have the work area sealed off from the rest of the house. I spend hours prepping. One of the design companies I did electrical for was anal about prep, they had 2 guys who did nothing but prep and clean up. I'm copying them.

Easiest way to save money is to not lose it.

Its a 65 dollar device that makes your dryer safer and sooo easy to disconnect/hook up. Plus it shortens the hose needed and extends element life. Comes in straight and 90 degree versions.

I'll check it out. Will it work with a dryer wall box? Ours is up on a pedestal but I need to install it so a dryer sitting on the floor would work too so I thought I'd use a wall box

Not sure-I’d say it can be adapted and basically what it’s about it’s a large magnetic connection to the pipe.

Those boxes look good but a lot of times they’re restrictive or require routing things the wrong way- Whatever you can do to get the simplest
, shortest run is the best.

In my case it has to go up into the attic then either thru the roof or 45 over about 8 feet to the outside wall. Not optimal I know but at least all accessible for maintenance. If I go up thru the roof I'll need to have a tile guy cut in a new T top. The asbestos one goes thru the roof but I'm taking that T top for the hood vent.

You might look at a fantech pressure activated 4”’cyclonic fan- makes a huge difference and can prevent fires from lint build up

I put one of those in for a customer once, they had a ridiculous run, 8 feet up and 30 feet through the garage ceiling to daylight.

Perfect situation for one-
 
FWIW: When I had this house re-plumbed last year, the plumber installed oversized drain pipes in the kitchen and laundry room. The little stuff is only where you can get at it, it quickly upsizes. The plumber told me he's only ever seen ONE of these lashups get clogged - apparently by vast quantities of grease.

The hardest part right now is fixing up temporary cooking and a sink to get us by for the duration which could be anywhere from 6 weeks to ???. Realistically I'm expecting 2-3 months with the cabinet and counter top lead times. I think we will just use the laundry sink and a rolling cart to move things from there to the dining room, then the microwave, induction hot plate and BBQ grill. Too bad the RV doesn't have a real oven but the Blackstone should work. I have the Tailgater which is 1/2 griddle and 1/2 grill.

my lead time was 8 weeks on the cabinets alone

You have an oven and cooktop no? While we renovated my kitchen the dining room was a temp cooking area. Ran aluminum ser as temp feeds and used plywood and sawhorses as countertops. I actually painted the tops for cleaning ease.

Seems your good w electrical?

Stove is gas but we have a portable convection burner. Ovens are electric but were running out of room so it's most likely going away but I might hook it up on the back patio. Yes I'm a retired electrical contractor so temp hookus are not an issue.

What I have going for me is access to the kitchen and dining room can be completely through the back door which enters the laundry which is off the kitchen, so no workers need to go into any other part of the house, there's even a bathroom in the garage for them. The appliance deliveries will have to eventually come through the dining room French doors so I will prep for that before they arrive. cardboard and luan both is a great idea.

I re-piped a few years ago and used 2" for the kitchen and laundry, what is that 3"?
