Help Me Choose Please!

Pull out the 10k in front of her and offer it again, she may meet in the middle.
I'd make sure to only have $10k in the envelope so she sees it's empty after pulling it out for her to see. I do that with smaller amounts and make sure they can see I emptied my wallet of all big bills. It helps them to not try to negotiate it higher lol. :)

I was selling one of my Sahara's for $8900 cash. The guy counted the money in advance and handed it to me in an envelope. He was talking to my wife while I recounted the money. I was happy when the total came out to $9800. He was even happier when I gave him the $900 back. Being a broke angel isn't easy. 😇

Found a super clean 2003 Sport with 149k miles. 6 cyl auto. It has the factory Dana 44 with the anti-spin upgrade. 4 wheel disc brakes. New tires and fairly new top. Does have check engine light, she says she had it checked and it needs cat replaced. Temp and power was fine so not sure about that. Rails seem perfect. Did not find any rust at all.

They listed it for $13,500 and told me they would take $12,000. I looked at it yesterday. Super clean inside and out. Everything seems great on it. Rode and drove good. Too high??? Offer $10k??

I bought an '02 with soft top and half doors. I hated the soft top and half doors the entire 2 1/2 years I had it and regretted having purchased it. If that's not what you want, don't settle. Another will come along.

Just got a reply that she would do $11k…

If it doesn't work out, there's a clean 04' auto Rubicon (150,000 miles) here in Va. You could probably get it for under $12,000.

Again when you check the code, be ready to either walk away or offer less money depending on what it is.

What are the top walk away codes?

Power seems good…ish. It cranks and runs super smooth. Good oil pressure and temp cold and hot. No noises or smoke. Oil looks clean. Trans fluid looks/smells good. Shifts great up and down.

02 codes, mostly, misfire codes can sometimes lead you down a black hole.

Honestly I would use the code reader and any codes as a bargaining chip for a lower price.

Unless it's something besides what she told me...that card has already been played lol. She had it listed for $13.5k.

PO420…Jeep has literally zero rust. It feels ever so slightly “bumpy” inside the rails. But could just be dirt. No pits that I can feel or flakes.

Could be the catalytic converter or just the O2 sensors. I always replace my O2 sensors when I get a rig. Cost about $100 if you DIY. It's not difficult. Catalytic converter would be more expensive.

Did you buy it?
