That's always a good idea. (y)

Does anyone have a current link for a trusted grill installed cooler? I don't think I need a separate fan unit for our use.

I see the manual says Mopar ATF+4 automatic transmission fluid only. Is another brand acceptable to top it off with as long as it's +4? I would order Mopar to do the filter/fluid change later.

@Jerry Bransford can give you the best info on those. 🇺🇸

That looks like a crossbow cocking rope and a screw-in bow hanger! (Not the Jeep strap; the other 2 things)

Did you figure out the “bump” thing? I was thinking you could check your ball joints.

I'll be dang. After googling both of those I believe you are right! Never really got into bow hunting...

No I have not. Got to get her jacked up and check all that stuff soon. Maybe this weekend. Been riding the last two lol. You know how it is when you first get something!

I know I have a lot of different topics going on right now on this thread...but my head is going in a lot of directions since buying this Jeep.

Reading a lot about re-grearing...

4.0 4 speed auto with 31" tires. Factory 3.73 per the build sheet. Do I need to consider a re-gear??? I also thought about going back to 30" tires (factory size) but might look silly with the 2" suspension lift currently on it...

So, I re-checked the transmission fluid yesterday. Hot, idle, level, in neutral or park (seen conflicting info on which to check in...both showed the same), the level is to the top hot mark. So def not low. I think I will do a fluid/filter change on the transmission this weekend just to be sure. I found Mopar ATF+4 on Amazon so I will be using that. 6 quarts should be more than enough correct??

What filter do y'all recommend? Gasket?

Also noticed that on the driver side the cross member forward of the transmission is spot welded. Is this normal?? Or should I expect a problem dropping this?

Maybe the bolt kept spinning and they wanted some insurance.

That's what I'm afraid of. After looking around more on the forum, seems like a common issue. I guess I can cut the tack and see what's going on. This is just a cross member for the small skid plate right? So if I don't get it back on this weekend no biggie?

Anything bad about the Wix transmission filter or should I try to find Mopar?
