Also for clarification let me know if this is a good summary for the axle oils.

80w-90:
- Good for lighter use
- already has friction modifier

75w-140:
- Good for heavier use - towing/off roading
- Does not include friction modifier

Trying to change the diff oil on my 03 2.4 and 06 LJ. I might be towing my boat with my LJ this summer, also read all LJ’s have trac-lok in the rear. I don’t plan on towing with the 2.4 but it does have a roof rack and tent and I’ve taken it on sand dunes.

What’s the best way to know if you have trak-lok?

75w-140 with the additive could be the way to go to cover all the bases while also being overkill in some cases.

It should include the overflow bottle, but it may take a little extra as well. Always a good idea to buy more than you need.

My plan was to just put in 5.2 quarts of antifreeze then just add distilled water until it's full and that's roughly a 50/50 mix. That requires me to know for sure what the quantity required is though.
