Just picked up my first Jeep—a 1997 TJ with the 4.0 and 5-speed in Lapis Blue—and I’m excited to be part of the Jeep community. I’ve got some maintenance items I want to knock out and wanted to get some input on the parts and quantities I’ll be using. I just want to cross my Ts and dot my i’s haha. Would love to hear any recommendations or experiences you guys have. Looking forward to learning and working on this TJ, and hitting some trails! Thanks to everyone!!

I'd use a Holley Accel cap and rotor. Ohm check your coil while you're messing with plugs and wires.

I'd also ohm check your injectors. If they're weepy consider swapping out the o-rings. A DEI heat shield kit for the injectors and fuel rail includes new o-rings.

I'd get a baseline on your fuel pressure too using the Schrader valve on the rail. While running and after it's been shut down for a bit.

Just wanted to say Welcome and also let you know this is a great Forum. People are super friendly and don't get mad when you ask questions!! :D
