The older I get the more I understand the character Clint Eastwood played in Gran Torino.
mid forties and loving where i’m at. I hurt. a lot. Helicopter pilot.
I always thought having a bird bath would be neat. last year we had a small tree die. had a ag disc laying in the yard so i sanded it down and painted it up. turned the tree into a birdbath.
Keep it filled with water. not much out here in east CO for birds. so they make a mess of it each day.
really didn’t think i would enjoy sitting around with a cup of coffee w/ heavy cream watching birds. Makes sense, i had some yellow ear sliders i had to leave at my mom’s house in one of my moves. with ina few months she could tell the different personalities between the two. and refused to give the turtles back to me.

As you get older you learn to appreciate the simple things in life. We have a fountain in the front of our house. It’s not as fancy as Zorba’s. It attracts lots of wildlife. Lately there’s been a falcon playing in it. Humming birds and other birds bathe in it. Even the local squirrels drink from it. Like I said simple things can bring joy to our lives.

I have T-shirts older than some of the guys on the forum .
Been throwing out the old holey skivies and socks with holes. Wife comes back from Walmart with new ones and it’s like Christmas heaven. T-shirts been going in the trash too.

My wife's sister and her partner moved down here 3 years ago and we've been taking turns every other Friday at our homes. My wife's sister-in-law 's sister moved down here recently, and between them and our 2 puppies, I'm surrounded by 6 ladies at happy hour. YAY!!!
i often get confused for being an adult because of my age.
Dating is far better when older, no family building expectations, no contractual government involvement, & lower T, you’re free & able to add someone to your life if & only if they enhance what you’ve already got going on, otherwise they can go pound sand

57. I will wait for the forum elders to say, you’re not old to which I say, whatever. Anything over 50 is old and I miss having that young man energy!
