What did you do to your TJ today?

That is going to be an epic crawler hauler.
This is a few of the CH's in the group I ride with. The one on the left is my brothers and the one on the right is the owner of Wheat's Offroad. The one on the right is epic. Mine will be right in the middle length wise of these 2. My brothers is 35' and Mark's is 45'; mine will be 40'.

A boat too? Looks like a fun trip

A boat too? Looks like a fun trip
When we go to either Windrock or Sand Mines (TN) in the summer, we will take a boat or 2 and either spend 1 day on lake Norman or hit the lake in the afternoon for dinner.

Next weekend we are on the lake on Friday and wheeling on Saturday at Windrock.

After nearly six years of ownership, I’ve acquired what the locals refer to as an “inspection sticker”. Hopefully by displaying this sticky piece of plastic on my windshield, it will keep the road pirates at bay for a couple years.

What kind of communist decal is that????

Today I installed the Grom Audio aux input kit so I can use my iPod in my '04. Super simple install: it just plugs into the CD changer port on the back of the radio and you run it to your glove box. I also bought the flush mount input cable to go with it and kind of custom-modded the mount. I drilled a 3/4" hole into the plastic square where the ash tray would go if it was optioned on my Jeep and ran it up and behind the radio to the glove box. Looks neat and finished!

For anyone who wants to add an AUX-IN to their stock radio, I was able to make it work following directions from this site (https://www.cumminsforum.com/threads/rbk-and-rbq-radio-auxiliary-input-install-how-to.1859386/ ) but had to wire it backwards from what they instructed. Radio shack is long gone so the switching audio Jack needs to come from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077D1NY4T?tag=wranglerorg-20) which is a CESS 3.5mm 1/8 Inch Female Stereo TRS Balanced Socket with Switch - 3.5mm Stereo Socket and this cable (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B943RYK1?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title ) has the correct 22gauge wire which allows remote location of the audio Jack down near the parking brake. That way, there’s no wire hanging from the radio. Photos show wiring changes from the original instructions.

The past several times I engaged the Parking/Emergency Brake handle; on an incline the Jeep would move slowly until I applied the last click on the EB handle.
Today before I became TOO hot (projected to be >100* today) I chocked the front tires, jacked up the rear of the Jeep, placed the transmission in neutral and adjusted the BMB disc brake star adjuster two clicks then tested the tire drag/movement with the EB disengaged and engaged.
With the EB engaged; the tire would not move and with the EB disengaged I did not hear any drag.
Placed the Jeep back on the ground, placed transmission in reverse to remove chocks, set the EB, placed in neutral and tested the Jeep on an incline; no more moving slowly.
Connected gauges to the A/C and tested with outside temperature at 91*, added approximately 1-2 oz to trim the charge and the DAT is very nice.
I will need this cooler temperature later today with the projected >100* temperatures.

With the rear axle off my Jeep, I took the time to really get up under there and address any issues that I found. Just a little surface rust, wire brushed it off, gave it a good coat of Rust Reformer, then sprayed it down with Fluid Film.

After that, more welding practice. I got a little ballsy because my welds looked good today, so I welded together the pieces of the two rear spring perches that I'm putting on. No, I didn't weld them to the axle yet, I just laid them over the existing ones to get measurements.
