Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

What did you do to your TJ today?

“Before” wasn’t bad, but i’m a big fan of the “after” results! Good choice, IMO.

I’m looking to offload our milestar pat’s for KO3’s or Coopers as soon as we can afford it. :)

Thank you! I see we've got the same wheels. haha

I definitely am not going to miss the Milestars. I don't know about your luck with them, but wet road traction was abysmal for me. I was torn between going A/T with the K03's or sticking with the Mud Terrain and getting the KM3's. Ultimately the choice was made for me because I couldn't find the K03 in anything smaller than a 17. 15s for life! :ROFLMAO:

Not me.

I believe in preserving my Jeep's finish with a protective coating of dirt.

Self-applying and self-maintaining.

Paint is probably good as new under there. Afraid to actually look. 😁
I hear ya. The paint on the top surfaces of mine is already faded down to the primer due to the brutal Arizona sun exposure. I guess I washed it too much in the early years and removed the protective coating.

Done! Had to carve out around the water outlet to get it to clear. Otherwise everything seems to work good.

One step at a time. I feel good about progress.

I should probably have a build thread for this rust bucket.

Someday I’ll get ducked and they’ll ask its name. “Rust Bucket”. Maybe too many paint fumes today?

Hey, y’all!

Well, I finally managed to get the freakin’ old bumper end caps off and install new parts.

Man, what a pain! 🤬 Dremel, drill, chisel, utility knife, vise-grips, hammer… you name it, it came outta the shed.

But, the end result was totally worth the busted knuckles, or at least I think so. 🤔

I made sure to thoroughly clean behind both bumpers, use stainless torx bolts, and plenty of anti-seize, just in case.

I installed some new grille inserts, too, that will hopefully help protect the A/C condenser and new radiator. At least they’ll keep leaves, twigs, and road debris out. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XSFWPX1?tag=wranglerorg-20)

Plus, I think they give the grille a nice, updated look without being too garish. The three-minute install was the “win” I needed this weekend. 😉

I also tested some Sonax wheel cleaner (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XSFWPX1?tag=wranglerorg-20) on one of the stock “Canyon” wheels and am happy to report that it seems to work quite well.

That said, next weekend is being devoted to a deep clean under the hood with some foaming WD-40 Specialist Machine & Engine degreaser (https://a.co/d/isMsYS) and a heavy scrub on the exterior, including the wheels, then a good ol’ polish and wax. Lord knows it needs it!

Then maybe, just maybe, Liz will let me work on my Merc. “Christine”, as she so lovingly refers to it 😬, has been neglected lately as I’ve been concentrating on the TJ.

Now, it’s time for a Guinness… 🍻

I think something was lost in communication. Are the burgers good or not?

Yes they're good🤣. But you know how some people over exaggerate something on how good it is that when you go to see what's up, your like "ehhh....its overhyped honestly....but it's good🤷‍♂️"

Today I installed the Grom Audio aux input kit so I can use my iPod in my '04. Super simple install: it just plugs into the CD changer port on the back of the radio and you run it to your glove box. I also bought the flush mount input cable to go with it and kind of custom-modded the mount. I drilled a 3/4" hole into the plastic square where the ash tray would go if it was optioned on my Jeep and ran it up and behind the radio to the glove box. Looks neat and finished!
