What did you do to your TJ today?

My son came over and hung out with us all day. We started by folding down the soft top and trying out the other options he has. Then we fixed his horn. Then we fixed his loose seat. Then we ate some great food!

get rid of that cinder block. If you must use one put the cores facing up and put a piece of 3/4 plywood on it.

Oh, it's really not doing anything, there's no weight on it, the Jeep is on a pair of jackstands. It's my overthnking.... What if someone decided to jump on the back bumper..... So I just stuck the bottle jack there as an insurance policy.

But I will switch it up, you're not wrong.

Today went well. Tied in Billy’s new split AC to his panel, wired AJ’s new attic fan, stopped by moms house and visited the grumpy lady who I love AND replanted and mulched the wives berry bushes she’s been growing.

Oh the LJ. Got the fuel tank in, wired and plumbed.
Belly skid installed and torqued.
Hooked up battery cables, two turns of the key and fuel pressure was present, turned key and we had ignition. She been sitting more’n 12 months now so that was a good thing.
I still need to finish rebuilding the rear CA’s and then put the rear axle in.
Close is an understatement.

Pulled the trigger and welded on the new spring perch and track bar bracket. Measured distances and angles of the old ones, cut them off, ground off the excess, then went to work. I still have the other spring perch to do, then I'll finish cleaning it up and throw it back on. I truly don’t want to be disrespectful, but there is certainly a lot of cold lap, and undercut on a lot of those welds. I would suggest you consider looking for some side by side guidance and get a second opinion prior to relying on there strength and longevity.
Just sayin.

You're not being disrespectful at all, it's helpful. Someone else has already reached out suggesting that I grind some of them off and redo them.

Well we had a sunny day but I still struggled to get the new top loose enough… read a few posts here and apparently the OFFICIAL Bestop directions may NOT be the way to go! 🤣

I removed the rear flaps from the groove, got the windshield clamps hooked then everything fit right in place.

Tomorrow will be another adventure when I try to get the windows in!

Drilled and mounted the Wolfbox rear view mirror camera. As I need to drive down the hill because the Loctite did not hold the weight of the mirror and it’s just sitting on my dash if figured I’ll get a pair of stainless nuts and bolts so I just zip tied it in place.

My radio has an input for a back up camera.

Anyone know if I can splice the wires and use one camera for both? I will need the rear view always on and the back up on only when I’m in reverse.

Also anyone have a link to the write up for the three contact mod between the back door and the interior chassis?

What should the torque be for an adjustable front trackbar? I’m finding contradicting information.

Is the frame side 60 or 110?
Axle side 40 seems to be the common answer.
