What did you do to your TJ today?

Was doing the final task that needed semi-immediate attention, replacing the rear track bar.

Disconnected the shock and the sway bar link to get better access to the T55 bolt, still wouldn't budge. So I take off the control arm bolt and slide the arm out of the way for access to the backside. What a mess back there. No dice there either, so it's on to cutting.

I use the air hammer, taking a really long time, but it's making a dent. I'm alternating between two places, why, who knows, but I was.

So I get a nice lip/groove on the bolt head, and decide to speed up the process there with an angle grinder. I dry fit it to see if I have a good angle, and it appears that I do.

So I start cutting, everything seems ok, I get the bolt head off. But holy crap, I FUBAR'd the bracket really bad. Sucks, I thought I was only getting bolt. So now I have this to fix, how would you go about the repair? Can a plate be welded on that with a fresh hole drilled?

I had quite the fuel leak-my #6 injector had a crack and the fuel rail o-ring was mostly split. I replaced all 6 injectors with new units from Summit Racing at $28 each plus free shipping. These are 4 hole 23lb units, Bosch part number 0 280 156 162. The only reason I chose these injectors is that they were the cheapest and quickest to ship for my DD.

Drove the LJ 917 miles straight to Moab on Sunday. (she aint no trailer queen)

Woke up Monday morning finished the build in campgrounds (arb plumbing, switches and pump mount). Wheeled Baby Lionsback and Fins&Things as the jeep’s breakin. So far so good.

I’d love to do that from Minnesota, but after ten miles or so, I get fucking leg cramps. No cruise control in my LJ.

Replaced my old vents with some new ones from Amazon…. My old ones were toast..(fins were missing And no adjustment so they would blow everywhere except where you wanted it 🙄..The old ones at the top of the pic.View attachment 626085

Do those things just pop out & pop back in? I need to replace mine, but I’m a little afraid of screwing things up trying to remove the old ones. Do they just pop out & the new ones pop back in? ‘Any tools required?
Thanks in advance.

They pop out and pop back in. Very easy to change with a small flat screwdriver or a flat trim tool.

Pretty much yes. A small flat screwdriver can help push out at the hinges to make it a little easier to remove.
