Love mine. Highly recommend the wiring harness even if you don't use the actual bulbs. It takes most of the load off the multifunction switch and puts the load on the relays instead. Multifunction switch/plug now lasts like it should and you can pull some serious amps depending on your load. I got the Hella bulbs and like the light. I wish it had the beam quality of my HID lights on my other vehicles but still a totally worthwhile upgrade. It's worth much more than the price the OP paid.

Appreciate the update, just picked up 2 for less than 40 bucks at a local dealer! One as an upgrade and one as a spare.

i just ordered a spare for $16 with local pickup 30338

I wanted a spare kit for my 06 TJ, so the other day I ordered off your link to Hendrick Toyota. Not bad, total of 37 dollars shipped to Colorado.

Today, I got a call from Brandon at Hendrick and he wanted to know " what the hell was going on" Seems he was given a huge load of orders for this kit, and he began to read off the order times which varied from 30 seconds to a few minutes apart. He read off at least 15 or so. I had to interrupt him and told him about the Jeep mod for the lights.

Guess he thought some scam was going on with the close time orders and the multi state requests. Got some laughs in with him, and then he said well, it don't matter, your backordered. :ROFLMAO: No ETA on it, so I left the order in. No big deal, it was the funniest call I've had today.

I

I installed 55/100 bulbs so I can drive on city streets without blinding people, but have brighter high beams for off-road.

I also modified the driving light / fog light relay so the driving lights stay on when I turn the high beams on.

Same here. Very happy with those mods. Initially I wasn't going to use the harness but I'm very glad I did. My multi function switch plug has clearly been slowly overheating at the wires that feed the headlights. The plug has a little damage but still works. Moving the load to the relays solves the issue and then you can put in brighter, higher wattage bulbs.

I ordered some, maybe these will be a decent and less expensive option to the Holley Retrobrights.

I had a set of these that replaced a cheap knock off LED.. the pattern was awesome. I did the 80/100 upgrade. Visually they are period correct. I ended up taking them out only because I didn't like the warm temperature of the output. I still have them as backups and left the harness installed as click-bait if I ever sold the Jeep. $29 is a killer deal for these.
Are they plastic or glass, and how would you say they compare to the Holley Retrofits?
I switched to the Holley RetroBrights and never looked back.

I've been running these for years, and with 100/ 80 bulbs they're great. And not too expensive.

Dude! I think you may have solved my headlight dilemma. How is the cut off on the e codes when you run the hundred/80 bulbs? I have had Hellas and like them a lot. But I found these on the sight that have an additional light socket so I can still have my daylight running lights. I will probably do that aux bulb in the LED.

The cutoff is great. straight line about 3/4 of the way from left to right, then angles up about 10 to 15 degrees on the right. Something like this.

Ordered mine yesterday and picked them up today, Precision Toyota in Tucson, Just under $35 out the door. Wonder if I should get a spare set seeing as they are glass.
