What do you all use to store your hard top besides hanging it from the ceiling? I've seen some of the racks where you can store it vertically. Any concern about it sitting on the rear glass when stored upright?
I stored it like that for around a year, used some 2x4s so that it stuck straight up
No issues I assume storing it that way?
Nope, went on just fine later. Might not be ideal but it survived, and mines even a little busted up behind the driver side door
I like that! In my case I'd have to anchor the scaffold but that is doable.I also use a scaffold. It's so easy I can remove and install my LJ hardtop by myself.
I've been storing mine on a BesTop Hoss cart, stands upright in the corner of my garage
I store mine leaning up against the garage wall. Put down a few layers of cardboard , walk the hard top in with a friend, lower the windshield end down onto the cardboard about a foot and a half away from the wall, then push the whole thing up and over slightly so it is tilted back with the exterior rear portion of the top resting against the wall. No worry about damaging the tailgate glass on the floor, it's up in the air resting in it's normal closed position. You can strap it in place if you are worried about it falling back down. Been doing this for years, never had an issue.
I am using one of those small portable scaffolds. Easy on/off, plenty of storage and you can use it when not supporting the hard top.
