Should I be worried?

My valve cover is covered in what looks like old dirt and oil. When wiping it clean I noticed what appears to be a leak. Thoughts?

I also noticed that the 2 air lines have quite a bit of wiggle up and down.

Most engine compartments look like that until you clean them. Spray some degreaser, rinse, repeat. Once it's clean, you can keep an eye on it to see where the oil is seeping from.

Clean it off good and then see if the oil / grease returns.

Has it always been like this or did you just recently notice it?

Pretty sure it’s been like that since I bought it. I know I haven’t cleaned it since I bought it.

Looks like it might be leaking out of that PCV valve grommet. Easy fix

Yeah same thing I was thinking, PCV valve.

Replace it. It’s a real pain to get the old brittle ones out too. When you break it off and part of it falls into the valve train area…..there’s a baffle under it that actually is pretty good at keeping you from dropping anything into the actual valve train.

Oh yeah. And the back and front are way different. The back one has a pencil lead size hole in it to restrict air and the front is a much larger inside diameter hole.

Found an older thread where the part numbers were posted for front and back as well as the grommets. Just ordered them.

Me too. The car dealer had replaced the rear elbow with the wrong part - which is fairly common as most parts lists list the wrong part for '05/'06 at least, maybe others.
