After finding a set of used RockJock 4" springs on marketplace, I've been looking into the other parts I'll need to get, namely the shocks. Currently thinking of buying the Rancho RS5000X RS55255 and RS55256 since I want a softer ride than the Bilsteins I currently have and don't have the money for Foxes. While looking into them, I noticed that the Ranchos don't have what I assume to be rubber isolating pads on the front shock post. They can be seen on Bilsteins and Foxes as shown in the pictures below.

How important are these pads and are they needed? Is it just a simple design difference between the posts of these shocks? I found some pads on amazon that might work but I need to double check the measurements if I need them.
