I was in need of a PCM a little over a week ago, a friend told me about a company that he used and highly recommended I try them, we I did the sales person said it would work prefect, had a life time warranty, and had the best" price" and would ship it to me quick to get the TJ back on the road, so i did it, pulled the trigger on it, it arrived in two days, I installed it and it lasted less than a week. So let everyone know just because they say best price don't mean best equipment.
The name of the company is ARES industries out of California. I have shipped it back to them for a return however I was informed that they would charge me $65 for software programing even as it didn't work.

I now have a PCM ordered from Wranglerfix, soon as it is here I will be back on the road

I had a similar experience with another company. PCM failed within a week of purchase while I was in a difficult trails in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Wranglerfix is the only way to go for a replacement PCM.

I hope so, so many have said that however I being the tightwad I am trying to save money learned a lesson.

Learning to search these forums is an important skill. Many of these questions and issues have been asked and answered ad nauseum.

Google wranglertjforum area and see what pops up.

Glad @Wranglerfix got you set up and you got your money back on that other PCM.

Never considered that. Now I know why I get so many complaints about Power Stop. I always thought it was the cool name because who doesn't want a great Power Stop? FYI- not my opinion, just one I've distilled down from my customers.

IF you do a Online Search for ARES Technologies; that company receives quite a few bad reviews for customer service and failed products.
This is the difference between a company that can load software into a ECM and a company that can inspect, repair and reprogram a ECM.
Mark at @Wranglerfix provides a quality product and his customer service is outstanding....

I will be having one, one day. I don't need one yet, but I'm sure I will ('06 4.0) and I will not hesitate to deal with Mark. Too many people on here praise him, not to.

My friend is having better luck than I , and is still happy with the price he got, As far as me, it is my fault "I am the tightwad", trying to save money. I do have an order confirmation and tracking number so I to will be back on the trail again.
As soon as this issue is over I will be searching on here for 2.5 " lift kit.
