I haven't tested a coil rail, but, yeah, according to the spec it's shot.
I'd go with a MOPAR, Blue Streak, or NGK.

Today's dumb question Will an engine run if the cam position sensor is 180 out?
The one we messed with had the camshaft synchronizer due to it being an 02. I do not know how that applies to other styles of distributor.
I know they will start and run without a crank position sensor. I don't know if that is true for the cam position sensor. It should, with a cam/crank mismatch code.
The 05, 06 will run without the cam sensor, but with a long crank to start, and a code of course, and in limp mode. I don't think the earlier models will run without a cam sensor.

I know the 97-04 will not even begin to try and fire up without a viable crank position sensor which is also one of the indicators we use to start testing to see if it has a bad one. If it cranks over and sounds like it isn't even trying to fire, we start with the CPS.

With mine being a 00 would it run poorly with a cam position sensor 180 out
We had one that did not fracture the gear on the seized shaft. Instead, it bent the cam. I won't do that repair again. My 06 cam sensor went out on the interstate. Would start and run in limp mode, limited to 2500 RPM.
There were a couple of instances reported where the OPDA seized and fractured the OPDA gear and they kept driving with 0 oil pressure till the engine seized.

The PCM is supposed to ignore the cam sensor when it's too far out from the crank sensor and batch fire the injectors. However, I have never tried it on a 00.
Not really. All the GM tuned port injection cars; Camaro, Firebird, Corvette; were batch fired injection in the 80s and 90s. My 5.7 TPI Camaro gets better mileage than my SFI 4.0s.Interesting. That would cause poor gas mileage.
What PID would you look at to determine if the PCM is doing the batch fire?
