my rear frame axle just finally rusted all the way thru (I was driving on borrowed time for 6-8 months never going above 45mph)....
believe it or not it's still drivable at like 20mph but stopping and starting at say a stop sign it makes LOUD bangs. I don't know if at
this point it is even fixable?? ('98, auto, 6cyl, 217k miles, mostly all road salt damage).
