Hoist vs Lifter?

Getting dizzy comparing all the options for hardtop storage. I have room in the garage, and the ceilings are 13'. So a hoist would be economical and keep it out of the way. BUT - I'm 5'2" on a good day and I'm thinking just getting up to the ceiling to INSTALL a hoist will be a major production. Is there a hoist anyone would recommend that super easy to use by yourself AND went scratch/ damage the top? ? (I'd rather purchase a kit than trying to assemble all the pieces myself so if someone can make a specific recommendation I'd appreciate it.)
I don't mind spending the money on a TopLift or something like it, BUT, I need to be able to walk under it if it's not all the way up at the ceiling and I'm not sure how high they lift. I also need top have the rear window closed if it'snot up at the ceiling. Can anyone tell me what the max bottom height of the top is when you use one of those? Any feedback if you have one?

Depends on how high you lifted your Jeep and how much crap you have in the back

I’ve had two of these in houses currently have one in my garage. The buyer requested the other one stay in the last house I sold. It works well and is easy to use. They do offer installation services so you could pay to have it installed.

But, they’ve pretty much doubled the price since I bought mine and they are proud of them.

Wow, haven't seen that one! Looks great, but looks like it's only for the JK/JL; I've got aTJ.

You can call them to see if there’s any difference but mine has been holding an LJ top, heaviest top there is, for about 5 years in my garage and it’s still up there.

I built and have used this one for 20 years. It works well, and I can take the top off solo.
