Help Diagnosing

The “Check Gauges” light came on with a beep today. First time that has happened…I will be going through the troubleshooting matrix probably over the weekend. How likely is a PCM or ECU failure?

No not flashing. It ended up going off about 10 minutes later. May or may not be related.

Mine does that when the oil pressure sensor wonks out or my alternator misbehaves.

Well the troubleshooting matrix directs me to powertrain verification test, which I am not able to do because I don’t have the proper scanner…

Well over the weekend I unplugged the battery to reset things, reseated as many connectors as I could find, cleaned a couple grounds, topped off the fluids (which just ended up being some coolant) then started the jeep and let it idle to confirm everything for about 20 minutes. The CEL did not come back and power seems to be restored. My guess is the computer never “re-learned” the new tps or a connector wasn’t seated all the way.
