Headlight Suggestions

Back when I had yellow fog lights, the yellow light is claimed to be less reflective in snow or fog, supposedly. ROY G BIV. Yellow right near middle in the light spectrum.

Thanks for the info. Will advise once I've gotten them installed, and lit them up. There's so much information on the 'net I'm not sure what to think. It's an '05, which many say will be fine. Others say to get the best/brightest, a relay will be necessary. Only time will tell...

I never updated. I went with the Toyota Koito and used John Audette Porsche bulbs. I love them. The beam pattern is great and the output is crazy.

Best bang for the buck that I have found when wanting LED and classic look with a glass lens. I’ve went from expensive trucklight LED’s to these and I’ll take these all day long.

I matched the fog light bulbs to the headlights which provided a seamless appearance. That said the factory fogs do nothing but provide ambient light compared to the auxbeams I previously had. I much prefer the factory classic look.

Let me know if the link above does not work but for less than $100.00 I converted all to LED and the output is far superior to factory.

**** Disclaimer, I went back to my Amazon account and due to price increases they have jumped a bit. And I pasted the incorrect link. The two links above are exactly what I had purchased to accomplish the look I was after to include the fog light bulbs.****

Great stance...

I added the Kyotos to mine a while back, the install troubled me more than it should have but I think that was my OCD more than anything. I replaced a set of Hellas that were on there already. I had upgraded my harness years ago so I just swapped out the buckets, I did keep the fat Hella bulbs I had. Love it, I still need to adjust it better but the pattern is great and the high beam is phenomenal! I have KC Daylighters on my A pillars and you can’t tell they are on if the high beams are on since they are adjusted the same. I couldn’t be happier. I ordered through my local Toyota dealer for $24 and picked them up in 2 days.

I was running the Hella E codes with Beamtech LED bulbs on my 05 LJ. Crazy patterns on that combo. I very recently replaced those with the Kioto setup and I’m very pleased with them And I’m no longer having half the oncoming traffic flashing their high beams at me.
