For the "period correct" crowd, leave the lights, stereo, and tires alone. Then, after you get stuck at night, call someone with better lights and tires and enjoy their nice stereo on the ride home.

I like the procomp LEDS. For whatever reason on amazon the listing states it fits for 2007-2017 jeeps, but I can attest they plug and play perfectly fine for my tj. Very bright and clean light. Got mine here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IRT74KA?tag=wranglerorg-20
I think one thing we can ALL agree on is that no matter what aftermarket brand or combination we choose, they all beat the hell out of the oem lights.

I have Octane headlights. They are glass lenses. One is cracked from a rock. Not critical, but always looking to replace and these are no longer available.
I’ve looked at these halogen KC Hilite for awhile. I’ve looked at the KC HiLite LED’s too, but $600+ is too rich for my blood.
That’s good to know. If they’re basically the same maybe just go with Hella’s or Koito’s since they’re cheaper. I need to check the light color temps on those again. I know the KC’s are 4000.

Theyre expensive, but on sale. The Truck-lite heated LED headlights I have had on my TJ for 10 years must not be made any longer, so I'm in search of a different option for the LJ. I have seen a couple photos of the KC's light pattern and color and they look about as good as any new vehicle but first hand experience would be nice to hear from.

No, I haven’t. I should buy them, but I’m tied up in buying everyone else stuff for Christmas!
Are the Hella H4s plug and play without modifications? Fit where the sealed beams went just fine?
Yes, but if you're sticking with halogens you'll want to add relays so you can run the brighter bulbs along with them.
