I have a 2004 TJ Rubicon and somewhere along the way the diff cover plugs were run in to far and hit the locker actuators. I could grind/mill the plugs down but thought I might change out the diff covers for a set of Currie. My question is, will they clear the factory locker assembly and I’m guessing the dipstick would not be used since it may hit and need replaced with a normal plug. Looking for some feedback.

I think you have to specify if you have a Rubicon when ordering from the Currie website.

I would think that would account for the lockers.

I have Teraflexes and there's no interference from plugs.

I ha
Did you use the supplied bolts or get new ones? Seems like several people have issues with the bolts

I haven't had any problems with the supplied bolts. Some people probably over torqued them. I'd also recommend RTV over a gasket. You're not going to be taking the cover off for oil changes.

Wrap the threads in Teflon tape or coat them in RTV. All the plug needs to do is not leak. It does not need to be threaded in tight.

Does your rear diff have two magnet plugs? I noticed mine does where the front only has one.the magnet sticks out just a bit more on mine and likes to hang up on the actuator

No idea. The untouched housing plugs are factory as far as I know, and they are magnetic. Years ago, I put on the slightly thicker Dodge RAM Dana 44 covers, but do not remember if the magnetic plugs I kept and might use on my current Barnett covers were original Rubicon or not.
