Recently my blinkers have started acting up. If I turn it on it will start at a normal pace, then the cadence starts to slow down to the point where the lights will just stay solid and not blink. Happens on both sides. All bulbs look to be fine and none are out.

OEM relay as far as I know and I’m using incandescent bulbs. Just tried a replacement relay from Rock Auto and I got no blinkers or flashers at all so I’ll be sending that back. Try the $90 OEM relay? New bulbs? Get LED bulbs and put an LM470 in? Only issue with going LED is I think the arrows being lit constantly would irritate me.

Thanks!

You replaced the flasher? What's your battery voltage at rest and what's the voltage when the Jeep is running?

Yes I put a flasher relay in and I had no blinkers or flashers at all so I put the old one back in. This was supposed to be an OEM replacement from Rock Auto.

Battery voltage 12.55
Battery v @ idle 14.2

Someone has to say it…

Ok I could not stand it any longer, this is all you need

Checked the grounds, cleaned and put dielectric grease on sockets, confirmed no burnt bulbs, checked fuses. Probed the blade sockets on back of multi function switch and got the readings above. No change in V with key on or off, or with blinkers or flashers on.

I did find that I can manually just flick the blinker lever to simulate the blinkers being on and everything works.

What exact part did you buy from Rock Auto?
