I actually bought yellow paint pens to mark my bolts this year too
You're doing better than me then.... I keep saying I'm going to buy a Pink or Red pen to mark stuff with.

Wait why not yellow it's the superior color?
This is accurate. I have a six pack of white paint pens that I've pretty much given up on using because it just doesn't work on most of the bits I want to use it on.And a White marker pen wouldn't show up for long on 50%+ parts of my rig..

Does it rub off or something?
It doesn't flake or chip off any worse than other colors, but the white seems to be harder to see after a certain amount of time after dirt and grime get on it. I'm not sure if it is absorbing the junk or what, but I used to use blue and it was much easier to see the marks a year later than the white.
Oh, boy, where to start with an answer to that one? That's a doozy to answer. Assuming it wasn't rhetorical in nature, the short answer, which is my opinion and tied to politics, starts with the complete demise of personal responsibility and accountability in this nation. Maybe since "retard" is starting to be acceptable again, the pendulum is swinging back. Gosh, I hope so!Why is everything you buy complete dog shit nowadays?

Little bit of rant here. I am losing motivation to stay in the "project car" hobby so fast. I am just so tired of getting ripped off by companies selling junk. In this one project (gears) I've literally thrown away:
This seems to be the case on every project I take on to some extent. It is starting to get real old and I'm really starting to wonder if my time and money is better spent elsewhere. If I had any idea what else I'd do all day I'd probably be considering it more seriously. Why is everything you buy complete dog shit nowadays?
- 400$ in the shit Yukon gears and associated parts trying to make them work
- 50$ in a vacuum bleeder that only worked once
- 30$ on a air compressor line from Ace that just popped today
- ~250$ in the other set of Yukon gears that ECGS seems to be trying to get out of refunding me (delivered 2/18)
I'd try to lie to you and tell you that it'll get better but then what?
I'm not in this hobby to get fucked over either yet here we areYou aren't in this hobby to save or make money. The one PLUS to all of this is that you're only going to do a lot of these things once and you'll be done....
Tools/parts don't seem to be manufactured with the same quality that they did years ago unfortunately. I had to return a brake bleeder I'd bought off Amazon. And it's one of the reasons I buy from there more than other places... My recommendation is that you always check the companies return policy prior to buying from them.
I am surprised that ECGS is giving you as much trouble as they are but others have complained about them before but that was years ago and I'd thought they had gotten better.
Really my only real advice is that while paying more sometimes sucks it can be worth it.

Yeah I saw a bunch of people ordering from them and thought it would be good but I think I'm better off buying from the manufacturer instead unless there is some compelling reason not to. Some lesson lol
Yeah. Seems like it is and I'll need to rethink the budget for future projects. Although Yukon gears cost more than RGA I think so wtf![]()
