Auxbeam 6 gang wiring

what switch did you end up running it too? they do run to many amps either do they? that's good to hear that both wires run to the auxbeam, i haven't gotten a chance to look at mine just yet but im excited to get it installed

I'd have to go back & look to make sure but I think I used the 5 amp spot for them since they don't require much.

So nope I hooked it up to the 20 amp terminal but I don't think it's required. Could have used the 5 or 10 amp circuit too I'd guess.

Do the KC Cylones bolt through the back? I don't see mounting tabs? I'm assuming the lense pops off since they're replaceable and there are holes through the light that you hit with your aforementioned nutserts?

What's your learned opinion about KC's surface mount and frenched in recessed brackets?

I used their flush mount brackets in a similar fashion. I wish they were made so the light sat slightly deeper in the bracket.

Yep the stickers are super easy to move and moving the wires isn't hard either.

that's great to hear, right now i'll only have 3 sections filled out. it'll be weird not using the other 3 empty buttons lol. once it's all wired up i'll send some pics once the lighting and mounting arrives

I started with the 6 gang panel and filled it up so returned it & got the 8 gang panel. I've got one more thing to add to mine right now and I'm sure I'll find something to fill the last spot at some point.

Plus I've got 5 rocker switches on my center console also. So if I lost them I would fill up the 12 gang panel.

what all are you running currently for the buttons? i've thought about running an on and off button to my winch but not sure how that'd work out entirely

Just lights & then a override for the fan to turn it on 100%. I need to add a second fan switch to kill the fan for deeper water crossings.

You could have a winch IN & OUT button I think. Don't see why it'd be an issue. I have that with my rocker switches right now.

And then the York air compressor & my ARB lockers. All of those could be done with the Auxbeam also instead of having rockers.

The sticker sheet has a few blanks. Use as needed.
They kinda loose their stickiness after a while so don't change them too often.

yeah i kind of figured once you peel em off a few times they might start to peel. they sell another sheet from what i've seen so it shouldn't be to bad if i need extras, but again that's more money that I'd have to spend on lol

The switch for in or out on your winch controller is just a switch and you're doing the same thing with a Auxbeam.

I've moved a few of mine twice I think and yes they start losing stickyness. I've bought some spare stickers myself already for just in case.

i might do it im not entirely sure, ive got the 12000lb apex winch so it comes with a switch that can be wireless or wired. but it's definitely another option to use if you wanna stay warm in the cold lol

I've had dash mounted winch controls in my past few rigs and have come to like it a lot more than the old way of running the winch controller into the cab. If you've already got a wireless remote than I'm not sure it would make much sense in controlling it with the Auxbeam too.

yeah that's true, I usually stand outside anyways just cause i'm worried about how the winch line spools back in

I too bought an extra sheet of stickers. However, once I got them to a point I was pretty sure I wouldn't be moving them I gave the back of the sticker a light shot of 3M Spray Adhesive, let it set and stuck them in place. Have lost one since.

@jscherb had a post on how he made extra stickers. I can try to find it if anyone is interested.

I'd like to figure out how to make a nice looking sticker. But for now I'll figure something else out.
