The LJ I just bought came with on-board air compressor via a second a/c compressor converted to an air compressor, the compressor is connected to a tank. I don’t know anything about this setup so been doing some research. One of the items that keeps comping up Is the compressor needs to be oiled to prevent freeze up. I‘m not how that happens.
There is a black container on the back of the compressor, it doesn’t go anywhere so not sure what it is for.
From the discharge it is routed to the black unit strapped to the bar brace, which I assume is an oil and water separator. From there it is routed to the black unit with the gauge, I assume pressure relief valve, i’m not sure what the electrical item is in the center, unless the on-off switch, but not sure how that turns on the compressor as I didn’t see any wires from there to the compressor.
For now my question is how does the compressor get lubricated? I ran it for a short while and it worked great and would hate to damage it.
I also assume I should drain all the air out after use.
Any input appreciate.
