So… I’m in the middle of a transition replacement… changing fried 3550 for an x15. Once the 3550 was off …rather than let the engine hang on its mounts, I jacked it up…evidently too far. Oil started dripping from the ac compressor… eventually (it’s a slow project) a lot - all of it drained out. I realized that in elevating the rear of the engine too far, I put a ton of pressure on the ac lines crossing over the top radiator hose. I assume this caused it????

Question: Have I done more damage or is this now about replacing the gaskets/seals on the ac compressor, replacing the oil and recharging the system?

When you change a compressor you pour oil in the port. So if it is draining out, you need to find out where it is leaking and fix that.

However, you also need to remove the compressor and drain all the oil out and add back in the exact proper amount. Adding oil with residual ounce or two will destroy the compressor.
