A/C Low Pressure Switch / Compressor Switch - Need Correct OEM Spec

Good job! Mine does 40º at the center vent, too.

Question: At what pressure does the low side cut-off occur? You can get a lower vent temp by decreasing the low side cut-off slightly.

You're in a humid area, so be aware if you go too low, the evaporator can get so cold the water condensing on it can freeze and block air flow, and the system will have to be turned off to let the ice melt before the AC will blow cold again.

You have no idea how insane this made me until I figured it out on my own. After two years. :cautious:

The factory AC can indeed be pretty powerful even in high temperatures, especially in dry climates. It's mostly limited by humidity. Takes a lot of power to condense water...

Yep,the phase change(boiling refrigerant) can either remove heat or water from the air

We had a good sunny 90°+ day today with humidity around 80%. I had to yank a trailer about 20 miles round trip to grab a piece of furniture, and the AC was absolutely frigid the entire time. I’m happy!

Flex that AC! :ROFLMAO: I have ambitions of getting cold air in my TJ one day. Really great notes here.

Dang, if any of my vehicles didn’t have AC they’d not even be in my garage.

I'm with you. It had AC working when I bought it, now not so much. Work in progress at the moment. Wish this happened before summer. I'm looking forward to a cool down tomorrow morning to get some work done.
