Ok. I sorted out my backlash. Getting 0.008 to 0.009 around the gear. Here is my pattern. Looks a touch deep? Or good to go?

Painted the housing, gears are done. Looks good from 10 feet

Funny how things that you expect to be annoying fly by, and everything else drags.

Drilled the rear rotors for 5x5.5, and cut the upper perches off the frame. What is the consensus on relocating the upper perches. Should I plan to cut down the longer side ears so I can slide it back further, or do people swap the side to side?

Cut the ears. It doesn't take much to hold a spring perch in place.

I have heard people like to align the hole on the top of frame with the center of the perch. How do you handle clearance on the trackbar bolt, for us poors who have a trackbar?

Does anyone turn it around or use a shorter bolt to avoid contact with the spring?

That's part of adjusting as needed and why you locate the passenger side first. You will probably have to cut the bolt down to fit.

Scored this like new JK rear seat for $30. Going to mod the rear seat to gain headrests

Life has been busy. Made some shitty welds to move the spring perches back, and painted.

Ordered new rear calipers but ended up with ford 8.8 calipers. If anyone wants them, I can ship them to you for the cost of shipping. Brand new DFC calipers.

Clearanced the spring perches. Running the blackmax shocks and will probably ask Mr Blaine to outboard once its running and not a disaster.

BTW wrapping a car sucks ass and trying to do a jeep grill is extra bad. Slowing abandoning the idea.
