Any news on this?
I scrolled back and realized I missed a part.
Several weeks back I upgraded to the WranglerFix PCM and immediately took it on a 7hr trip to Emerald Isle to visit a friend. It ran flawlessly on the way down in the dry weather.
Headed home, it was rainy the whole way. It never had an issue until I was going through Raleigh on 40 at about 20mph because of the 2-3" of rain water sheeting off the pavement and the driving rain I could barely see through. Suddenly it did the tell-tale hickup and threw a CEL.
I scanned it quickly with my OBD reader and it was the Crank Position Sensor A code again and wouldn't Rev over 2300 RPM without bucking. I put it in neutral, snapped the key off and restarted it while rolling down 40, the CEL stopped flashing and it ran fine. When I got off the interstate in Effland, I cleared the code from the PCM and drove home in the rain without repeat or issue. It hasn't thrown that code sense either.
I'm not sure what to make of it right now. Considering trying a different brand crank and/or cam sensor to see if it's just a fluke related to a sensor.
