2006 Jeep Wiring Harness Nightmare

Just thought I would throw this out there, I have a mechanic assisting with finding an issue I am having with the crankshaft and camshaft sensor as well as an engine code.

He found this in the bundled wiring harness behind the valve cover today.

You are aware of the OPDA issue with 05, 06?

Looks like a hack repair of some wires that chafed and shorted.

Yes, I had another shop install a new OPDA for me when they were doing a few other things for me.

Did the current problems start before of after the OPDA was replaced?
