I am curious how they would fit without carpet.

I did read some reviews that mentioned them being slightly too small without carpet.

I have my old carpet if you want it. The biggest problem with it is right near the rear door opening I was transporting some blue dye and some of it spilled. I kind of planned to take it to the car wash and see how much of it I could blast out (not something I want to do in my driveway!). It's probably covering an area 2-3" wide X 9" long on the cargo area piece right under the tailgate latch. I can take some pics if you want.

The front driver footwell piece has a hole in it from the bolt that comes up through the floor from my JCR sliders. Literally the hole is the size of the bolt and under a floor mat if you use them.

I'm pleasantly pleased with the fit of my WT's. Like a glove! The texture is coarser, kind of like sand paper, so they aren't slippery when they get wet. I know that's been a past complaint with them. Looks like they listened.

How are the CalTrend seat covers working for you Jim?

These do appear to be a much tighter fit than the Husky and Quadratec versions I've had!

So far they have been holding up quite well! The driver seat gets the most abuse, but they haven't gotten sloppy, and the fabric is still looking new. I thought I blew it one day. Had my car keys in my pocket and slid out one day dragging them on the seat, but no damage whatsoever. For under $100, I can't complain!

W/T has a new material that's more pliable but they don't offer it for the TJ yet
W/T rep was in the other day and said they were going to have 100% coverage of past models in the new material

I really look forward to the cargo liner because then I can throw all sorts of crap back there and not worry about it. That's the one section of the TJ that can get some real interior abuse if you carry fluids or firewood, and everyone wants to get into the backwoods to camp out!

Thanks for the offer but carpet is not a viable option when you have a waterline on the inside of your tub.

This was the WHY of me spraying in bedliner over any type of carpet. And I can't imagine trying to use any type of glue on insulation. It would be waterlogged in no time and then would be worse off from being wet.

I've had a set from Quadratec in mine for years, and they definitely get slippery when wet. I don't know how many times I've nearly broken my neck hauling myself in there with wet shoes. Good to know on the WT - I may have to upgrade, Bob. Thanks for the intel.

The BedRug is turning out nice. It’s laborious, especially since it’s cold and I have to heat the area up to 68*F. I got the rear done. I was able to maintain the inner brace for the Moryde hinges even though I do t really need it since I don’t run a spare. But the option remains open and I love how firm the rear tailgate is. I didn’t cut slits or blocks out of much of the BedRug. I punched holes for the bolts. It worked awesome. The wires are for the powered sub that is under the rear seat. I’ll try to get that installed tonight, but wanted to show what it looked like before.

Spent a full day installing the BedRug in the front and rear floor pans. Removing everything is easy. Cleaning and organizing all the wires took a long time.

After. @Wildman looks way better. Had to heat it up to 68*F, so I sat the Buddy Heater in there for awhile. I was planning to put down some Noico sound deadener, but I spaced everything out and just couldn’t do it. For some reason I don't think it’s a good idea for me. Maybe I’ll do the doors someday. I really don’t want anything on the floor. I did install the heat shield that comes with the BedRug.

I also installed KBD Seat Heaters. It’s not that difficult. I debated removing the original covers or just putting them under the seat covers. In the end I couldn’t see a good reason to pull the original seat covers. They are under the seat covers and this makes ease of access and no trouble. I’ll post more pics tomorrow. I needed a couple of mini fuse taps. I still need to find a fuse for the passenger side that only comes on with the key on, but they work very well, so I should be able to figure it out tomorrow AM.

I did the seat heaters for two reasons; 1) to get the hardtop off earlier each year and to keep it off longer. The mornings can be cold, so this will help.
2) They make my wife’s ass hot!
