Great Little Asset for the TJ!

So, I'm sure like some of you, I have my backseat removed in the TJ. I leave mine open all the time and I was struggling with where to keep things securely, i.e. tools, gloves, radios, recovery gear, etc. I found this on Amazon and it is PERFECT. Sits right behind the front seats, only 6" tall so it's low profile and not in the way. I lined it up on the four forward seat bracket holes in the floor, marked it, drilled it and used the existing seat bracket bolts to lock it in place. It fits absolutely perfect between the wheel wells, with about 3/4 of inch on each side. Locks with a key and I can keep all my items in there that I don't want "walking off" without my knowledge! I threw some HDF foam in on the bottom to help with any rattling and it's completely weatherproof too! I thought it was a great little find for a good, lockable storage option and just wanted to share-

Man this is great !
I always have my rope,soft shackles,Stubby Milwaukee impact and socket set under my seat but this is a neat little box setup ! One could definitely do this easily,I was thinking about hard mounting a pelican box and doing some sort of fancy bracket and what not but I like this 🙂!
Very simple&effective !

My intrusive thoughts would be to sneak a mini ported 6.5" sundown sub. setup in a tool box like this, But it would kinda defeat the purpose of the tool box but i kinda just dont like the look of a sub box just randomly sitting there 🙃

I don't like it exposed either but my back seat hides it when in and when out my cargo platform hides it.

The pelican or something similar was my initial thought as well, but couldn’t find anything that “fit” cleanly. Then stumbled across this guy on Amazon and it was perfect. The lockable aspect is great too, easy enough to toss the pew pew in there if running in to grab some food after a day of wheeling and have no worries.

I've had a taller UWS box in mine for a while now. I mounted mine back further using the hole the seatbelts bolt to in the floor and some J bolts into the seat tracks. I didn't want to remove the seat tracks completely because I do put the rear seat in a couple times a year. I also split some old tubing and put on the seat tracks so there was no kind of rattling and slide some hockey pucks under it for a little support.

Do you know the dimensions, or have a link?
I've looked at a ton online and can't find what I want.
