Hi, I've been researching this forum and a lot of you guys said to always go with a LUK clutch kit and a Amazon throw out bearing because for some reason or another I couldn't find.. the experts said the LUK clutch itself is great but the bearings are junk so I followed the Amazon link posted for the bearing.

Anyways, the clutch came bare metal and I don't want it to rust and rot out, plus I want it to look good so I was thinking maybe some bare metal primer and finish it off with some high heat resistant brake caliper paint. Is there anything reason not and something else I should go with? If not then this will be a superb color gloss red.

Here's a photo of the clutch.

The clutch pressure plate won't be visible after install. Also, even if you did paint for corrosion protection, you can only paint the outer shell of the pressure plate.

I would not put much effort into it except a shot of Krylon if you really have to. It is well shielded and unless you are doing submarine duty is not going to see anything other than condensation.

I never really gave it any thought before but I wonder how hot that housing gets during some serious use....I bet it gets pretty warm!

Just install don't bother painting
This^^^^^

I'm obsessed with painting bare metal and wouldn't waste my time here. I've personally never seen one rust substantially. If you do decide to paint, it's probably best to use a high temperature paint. The clutch can generate significant heat.

Don’t forget to paint the fly wheel face That’s just bare metal. That will be the first thing to rust.
Use the cheaper paint from Tractor Supply. That stuff never dries. 😆

Just drill and tap a zerk fitting or two on to the bell housing and pump it full of grease!

Good excuse to get a cordless grease gun that can do 10,000 psi.

I don't know what brand or type of paint you'd want to use, but being that it's a clutch, it would stand to reason that you'd want to paint it one of the "Grabber" colors...either Grabber Blue, Orange, Yellow, or Green... ;)

("The “Grabber” line of colors including Blue, Orange, Yellow, and, of course, Green, was introduced in 1969. Grabber Green was first available on the Shelby’s and then on Ford Mustangs the very next year. Grabber Green is shown above on a 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator." Muscle Cars Illustrated)

dont even bother.

painting may throw off balance to a degree & its never gonna rust bad enough to become any sort of issue at all. you may even contaminate a surface or introduce new problems down the road. out of sight, out of mind.
