33" tire recommendations for a 15" wheel?

I had them on my first TJ, a nice tire, at highway speeds they are louder then the BFG MT although it's negligible to say the least.
I also love the KM2's, do a little extra siping on them and they are awesome even in the ice & snow! I just might try a set of 33/10.50/15's on my next set. In the end I have 4 quick grip tire chains with the cam tighteners that I throw on when the shit gets deep👍

Ive had great luck with my Grabber X3’s, very nice road manners and they look good. They are also killer on my local 4 wheeling trails. Id definitely give them a look.

Great to see others in here running 33 10's, I have run 33 12's on my first TJ and I can tell you the 10's are a far better and a safer choice for many reasons:
  • Less heat on all your suspension components.
  • Ball joints, wheel bearings and steering components will last longer.
  • Handle better when pushed hard.
  • Go further in almost all off road situations.
  • Better fuel economy on account of less rolling resistance.
  • Sidewalls flex more on higher pressures.
  • Weigh less and cost less.
Let the flaming begin...

All pro’s and no con’s.

Those are good looking tires! Are they Cooper's newest mud terrain?

Yep, I stumbled upon them looking for a good quality and priced MT. Couldn't find much info on them online and realized they haven't been out very long.
All the tech built into them along with Cooper being known to make a decent tire, I figured I would give them a try. So far they're doing well and I like the old school look with the modern technology. But at the end of the day, the price really sold me on these tires.

Those look good. They are a little cheaper than the STT Pro's. I don't think they have the same side wall as the STT's, but that doesn't mean they aren't still strong.

What kind of wheels are those and what did they run you? They are some damn good looking wheels. This forum is starting to make me realize that I have some ghetto wheels on mine.

They are the quadertrac Rubicon Xtremes. These are 15x8 and ran me $99 each.
Total cost was about $1400 after paying to have them mounted and balanced. Sold my old set of BFGs for $500, so I'm at $900 for the new kicks.

I've been through 3 different sets of mud terrains at 3 different tire sizes. I started with 31x10.50x15's on first generation BFG KM's. Wore them out and bumped to 32x11.50.15's on Cooper's first gen STT's. The Coopers were tough as nails with their Armor Tek3 sidewall construction,

They were loud as heck though, and were hard to keep balanced. Didn't wear well either. Barely got 30k out of them. From what I've read so far about the 2nd. generation STT Pro, they have made some improvements. It's still a mud terrain, is noisy, and has a tendency to cup as they wear if you are not religious on frequent rotations.
My 3rd set bumped me to 33x10.50x15 BFG KM2's. Once again, a mud terrain. Initially, they were relatively quiet for a M/T, but as they wore, they became irritatingly loud. (as a side note, I ran all these tires at 26-27psi., and rotated every 5000 miles. All choices were load C.)
The KM2's wore fairly well, but I couldn't take the noise anymore, so at 6/32's tread depth left, I decided to try an All Terrain.
My 4th. and current set is 33x10.50x15 BFG KO2's. I've got 7k miles on them so far, and by far are my favorite tire to date. I daily my TJ, and this tire really shines on pavement, in pouring rain, and most recently, found them perform quite well in snow. Sloppy mud, they suck.
In summary, stick with a 15x8 wheel, a load range "C" tire, and run them at 26-28psi. My personal preference is the narrower 10.50 section width. They just plain handle better in most conditions, except maybe sand. I haven't tried that media with them yet.

why that size?
I chose the 32” for a couple reasons.
Mainly due to funds, they were much cheaper than the 33” when buying 5 of them and I feared the 33”s might rub with the 3” lift that was already on the Jeep. From my reading on this forum to run a 33” I need a 3.5”- 4” lift

All pro’s and no con’s.
My buddies say they don't look as good as good as the 12's, thats a con but I then some people mistake them for 35's, so that's a pro!
If I was going to be running the Rubicon trail I'd probably go the 12's, not that I can confirm it would be a better choice but I would say a wider footprint would be an advantage in such conditions over the 10's

I also love the KM2's, do a little extra siping on them and they are awesome even in the ice & snow! I just might try a set of 33/10.50/15's on my next set. In the end I have 4 quick grip tire chains with the cam tighteners that I throw on when the shit gets deep👍
I run numatic beadlocks so I can air down to whatever pressures I like, in deep snow I may go down to 2 psi. I'd love to see a picture of the siping job if and when you do it again.

They just plain handle better in most conditions, except maybe sand. I haven't tried that media with them yet.
Agree 100% and don't worry, in sand they work better then the 12's on account of less rolling resistance and a smaller footprint.

This guy knows all there is to know about playing in sand and explains a lot about how footprint and rolling resistance...

But alot of these recommended tires arent available in 33x10.5x15.
Here is a list of tires recommended here.
I love the STT Pro but its more cash and base kn what people are saying its noisy.
Which 3 are better? Base on style, negligible noise, drivability.

I’m also running Cooper STT Pro’s. I have 23,xxx miles on them and tread depth is 12-14/32” all around. They are the meanest looking of the bunch. I like the Armor Tek sidewall. Not noisy to me, but I haven’t run an A/T. Perform well as DD in rain, mud, need siping for snow, air down to 6-8 in the snow and ice.

I’d say there are not many choices in a 33x10.5 and they don’t look as mean, but if you find one you like, go for it. If not, the hybrid tires like the Cooper STT Pro are sexy. You may not get as many miles though. I hear good things about the ProComp A/T Sport someone linked to above. The Duratracs have a long-standing reputation, though some claim they are poor in the rain after awhile.
