Why is this screw on my headlight bezel?

I was aiming a headlamp that the PO had pointing out into space, and took off the bezel so I had better access to the adjusting screws. That's when I noticed this:

Two of the three bezel screws are ordinary T-15s. This is a snap-head screw, the same type of screw that's used to hold down the interior carpet. But why is it on the headlamp bezel? I have these on the bottom of both bezels. I tried to search for answers, but couldn't find anything. Is there some obscure accessory that snaps on to this?

Yep t15 all around. Probably just a quick substitute that was handy.

There must have been a time
when we could have said no.

Funny! The rest of the Jeep was so untouched when I bought it that the two matching snap-head screws looked like they belonged there!

Now that the joke's on me, I think the best part is the accessories I was imagining.

Snap-in headlamp covers, for when switching off your headlights isn't enough?

Snap-in colored lenses for driving in fog, which might be strangely useful?

Hold down snaps for a very awkward OEM car cover?

A snap-on grille cover to keep the engine temperature up in arctic conditions?

Snap-on lens shields to use during air raids, which seem appropriate but also ineffective?

I'm still trying to imagine the Mopar engineer who came up with these things and somehow convinced someone that they could make money selling them!

Snap on angry eyes for when you want to hang out with the JK guys on short notice

I have the same thing on 04 TJ. Looks like you could snap something onto it.

No way!

I'm going to call Quadratec and see if I can get some snap-on angry eyes. That way I can fit in when I'm hanging with the JK bros. I'm thinking khaki to match my flares. How do you like the look?

Should I see if they can get you some in red?

FWIW, I have the same screws - phillips with snaps. Both headlights. Go figure.
