OEM 6-CD changer / radio

So, since the Quadratec sub-woofer was on sale, and it looked like mine was probably blown, I ordered it. It came in earlier today, so I went out and removed my center console. . . and it looks fine. A little dirt has accumulated and in need of some cleaning though.

Now, since I've got the new one should I still replace the old one? It doesn't look like an upgrade so much, I mean, it looks pretty much what I would expect for a 'factory replacement' speaker. I guess it would have the benefit of the new pliant foam surround, and although it wasn't really difficult, I don't want to have to take the console apart again any time soon.

Any opinions?

What do you mean it looked like it was blown. Did it sound like it was blown?

I'd go ahead and replace it for the reasons you cite. Throw the old one on the shelf as a spare.

Mine should be here tomorrow or Saturday. I'm thinking of replacing the dash and sound bar speakers with Kickers from Crutchfield.
