I got back into town early enough today to get in a bike ride and some quality time working on the "TekRak" (Copyright, patent pending, etc.)

.
More of the previous "put it in, take it out, modify, paint, and repeat", but it's getting closer to being a reality each day.
There's room enough on this setup to use it to mount a radio or just a mic clip, or gauges, or a camera, or a switch pod, or a trash bag, or maybe even a cup holder that you can use w/ two tumblers, instead of them both being wedged in there under your hip by the parking brake.
Anyway...
Got the brackets shaped and painted.
That's when I decided it would be a great idea to use rivets to secure it to the dash frame.
And I don't have the right size...
It will surely secure them better than a tech screw & a couple of zip ties!
Anyway, chargers arrived and I couldn't help but pre-assemble it even though I haven't drilled the holes for the rivets yet.
I'll handle that tomorrow and this should be in for the weekend.
A bit of wire management...
More to follow... Including matching hardware on the ends. I just used whatever mismatched 1/4-20 bolts I could find to put it together and make it work and they happened to be chrome which isn't going to work.
