We spent almost all day learning how to swap a suspension. Dakota had a great time and learned alot (as did I). Went from a no name brand 6" to a Rough Country 4" we like the way it sits much better and its easier to get in and out of.

The restoration continues...
New spring, isolator, bump stop, upper and lower control arms on the front driver's side. The bump stop cup is a project for another day.
I was planning on doing both sides, but getting that upper control arm bushing in kicked my @$$, so I called it a day, and spent the holiday afternoon with friends.
Plus, the obligatory knuckle buster. This one was bad.

I had to explain to my hispanic workers the significance of Independance Day.
“We celebrate coming over here and killing or displacing everyone who got in our way, then had an issue with paying taxes so we named it and turned it over to the lawyers. To celebrate we barbeque and talk about how to deport ya’ll. “
Wait ‘til they hear about Easter and how we celebrate the Resurrection by painting eggs psychedelic colors and hiding them and telling kids a rabbit laid them.

Hmm ride of the month material for sure.
Finally got the single stage urethane that was applied without activator walnut shell blasted off the top and re coated it correctly
Next will be the satin urethane to make it look as close to factory as possible.
Friendly reminder- if you can, avoid running a hard top on trails, especially here in the east where we have lots of trees.

I've seen too many bonks on trees ruining them to run one myself.
