American Motors was the benefactor in the deal that got Jeep for them. Jeep also was bought to save Chrysler....Now Stellantis in finally going to drag it down.....

I had a 1974 CJ 5. Compared to earlier Jeeps, it was not as well made, although Jeep did get the 258 out of the deal.

It's the same attitude I apply when I park my TJ -> I'm within the lines and you chose to snuggle or cross the line when you parked. I have armor all around - go ahead and door me when you get in....

Unfortunately my GC WK2 is just a DD - so someone did door it in the DS door...

Wife and I were swapping it at the time so no idea when/where.... I still stare at it every time I drive it (which is my DD right now).....

The last F150 I ordered got door dinged within a month of ownership and I was super careful where I parked.

I tend to be one who looks for a couple spaces around me - because we're usually carrying the 3-yr old twins, which appreciates room to get them out. So I park with an empty spot between anyone else usually.

But that doesn't mean someone fills that spot while we're or me (when alone) are within the store...

It's just part of vehicle ownership unfortunately... Luckily it seems to have only dented and just left the visiting vehicle's paint - so rust isn't as bad a concern - but a red dent on black paint does stand out - even if only at a quarter-side...

Still deciding if I tackle it or farm it out - I hate body work but the good (not even the great) body shops are getting stupid expensive these days...
