Better pictures of the LJ Stretch Mini Boat Side rocker prototype. These will be shipping out for test fit this week. The 304 stainless is better then the P.O. Steel in every way. The more I work with it the more I’m surprised it’s not more widely used in the off road industry. It’s Crazy.
The 97 to 02 tailgate plate tested good and are ready for order if anyone needs one.

Looking great! If i didn't have fab'd steel sliders in the garage I'd be on this!

PM sent regarding tailgate plate

Special delivery yesterday, thanks Flux! And it even came with a sticker. 😉

Can't wait to get this painted and installed. 👍

Do these require folding the tube edge back along the rocker? Look like a mini boat but tough tell if these fit the stock tub edge from the pics.

You'll have to fold in the edge for any mini boat side, this one isn't an exception. You can tell by the step down, the factory tub edge is even with the torque box (at least on the front side) and would require a single 90° bend instead of two bends.

Thanks @rasband, your correct. The mini boat side rockers will require the lower edge flange of the tub to be folded over.

My standard rockers have a double bend at the lower edge, the front torque box is lower then the edge of the tub. Having two bends in that area provides more clearance and strength. Those that choose to have a single 90 leave both aforementioned on the table.

@Fluxor are those vision wheels 4.5" of backspace? I assume that your axles are wider than stock TJ?

Yes they are vision, they only had two options for the 5 on 5.5 and I chose the one with more offset (I don't remember it was in mm). I run a small spacer/adapter as my rear axle is still 5 on 4.5. As soon as I have a few minuets to take a breath I will install rear axle shafts matching the front lug pattern and maybe remove the spacer, I have grown accustom to the look so they may also stay. I have literally zero time right now trying to stay up with orders. Actually I have negative time lol. I wouldn't change a thing, I like seeing people stoked with products and using them for the intended purpose. I will get or make time eventually.

If these do not require folding the tub seam back, then they are not mini boatsides. 😉

Tracking that for any mini boatside. Was looking to confirm these are a mini boatside - my Rokmen sliders have a chamfer on the edge but not enough to require bending the tub to fit, so not a mini boatside.

Got it. Thanks for the explanation between your two styles.

I swear the everyday copy and paste off-road companies always try to solve a problem in the worst most inefficient way possible, it has been proven time after time that tying into the body mounts is a recipe for problems, but in an attempt to make a “non cutting/bending” set of boatside they basically completely forgo the body mounts.

I say this in Flux’s thread because time after time companies keep unintentionally proving the necessity for shops like Flux Off-road, it takes more than access to a press to make good products and I really hope he still able to make these amazing products by the time I’m able to pick up my next TJ.

A couple screen shots I grabbed... They're not even close to boat sides other than vaguely in shape. I'd take most other brands over these barnes ones. Yikes.
