What did you do to your TJ today?

Oh god. I very much worry that is what I'm in for, 8-10 years of puppy. I just want him to chill out a little 🤣 but I'm sure I'd miss it if he ever actually did lol.
Good Luck! We adopted her at 3-years old so we never had to deal with chewing on what wasn't a dog toy. But the energy was there all the way up to the end.

Still remember her every time I open the freezer drawer (we have the french door fridge with the freezer on the bottom) - she dented it with her collar within a month of us owning it while playing catch in the house... :ROFLMAO:

It's more of a what was lost from my tj today. My jeep dog Gabriel left my tj and crossed the rainbow bridge today. Man I'm going to miss him.View attachment 595036

We lost our little terrier mix after 14 years. At the time, we ‘decided’ not to have dogs anymore. Well, my wife was involved with dog rescue at our place in Mulege, Baja Sur. We now have these two young knuckleheads!IMG_3208.jpeg

Installed my JKS disconnects. Didn't have/couldn't find the right tap for the keepers when they're disconnected. For now I'll use zipties if I disconnect before I find it or pick up the right tap.

I use zip ties to hold mine up also. Never had any issues.

I used zip ties for over 15 years. Not the best, but functional. I finally got my nub holders welded on, and now one of is bent so I use zip ties on that side until I can fix it.

I have been disliking the scuffs & scratches along our tub rails lately. They aren't really that bad, but running w/o side windows keeps them exposed and visible, which also makes them get more banged up as we load/unload items through the side.
Yesterday I tried an inexpensive solution;

It seems to be a viable option, although I am not certain that the outer edges will remain stuck with the curved profile of the tub rail.
Time will tell.

It been 45 years without this much snow here. I have cleaned off the snow because it's the law here.
May I ask. Are you still active duty? Are you on a ship? What’s your rate ? My son is on the NY in Norfolk buying a house in Va Beach

No, I am not active duty. I retired as a Machinery Repairmen Chief in 2002 from the USNR. I served 10 years active duty (AS-11, DD-849, NAS Gitmo, SIMA Little Creek, AD-41). In 1981 I went to work at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. After being out for 5 1/2 years I joined the USNR and served 15 years.

Got it dirty. Got it VERY dirty. Took one of the trails at the "Jeepin' with Judd" event - group ride. I will say this: You guys are dead nuts right - a (mostly) stock Jeep is VERY capable. My wife and I did shit that there was NFW we would have even thought about trying on our own. I have dashcam video I'll post in a few days. BEST MOD EVER: JKS disconnects!

Dug a trench to make room to get the project Jeep in the barn to pull the tub. Stalled out halfway down and had to add more fuel, definitely was a game of inches sliding in the snow and dealing with low transmission fluid lol.

Lightened the Jeep again, yup annoying squeak from Tuffy cargo drawer, pulled drawer out, left shell in for now still acts as a security box, more room. When I remove the drawer box, I will probably post drawer on our parts for sale forum soon. Drawer, now used for storage. Getting ready to Jack up Jeep high enough to drop rear axle to replace bad uni-ball bearing on truss. Then Drop skid, t-case etc….. not necessarily in that order either.

Did some prepping today

Looks a little hairy scarey. That’s about 30 inches under rear of frame. See if thats enough. I will lag the blocks together. Kinda funny the play and clunk disappeared driving it around today, it was nice. I am sure it will return. Oh, well, still marching on with plan to drop rear axle, not necessarily remove just get to to that uni-ball joint and hopefully be able to get at that zerk fitting I busted a while back. To drop links at frame would be chore, air tank and exhaust would have to be dropped. 🫤🤞
