But WHY does it always seem like it's me?

I know how to clear the Air Bag light since I had the module unplugged. I wish there was a way to bypass it. Or put foolers in it's place. I might play with some jumpers on the plug to see if I can figure something out.

OK after chasing my tail for a few hours I decided to try something.
Turn the ignition switch to On 3 times quickly and you'll get DTC's on your dash. I came up with a P0622 code. Why my code reader doesn't show this DTC when checking with it I'm not sure.
Well back when I'd had the engine out and was trying to redo some of the wiring mess I'd added a relay for the switched items under the hood.

1) Premier Power Welder switched power .

2) SPAL fan temperature sensor switched power.

But I'd forgotten to connect the wire to a power source.

All fixed. Now to let Chris know it was a bone head mistake on my part.

I've got a PT appointment in a little while for my shoulder but I'm glad I got this figured out this morning. Now if I can just clear the Air Bag light my dash will be OK. I can just pull the fuse to deactivate the passenger side air bag but I've removed the drivers side air bag so I'll have to connect the wires together or figure something else out. I really was hoping I could not have the module installed.

Edit: That wire to the relay is just stuck in there temporarily to test things out. It's not got a large amp draw. Figured I'd better add this before someone questioned my wiring.

Couldn’t you just pull the air bag lamp bulb out of the cluster and leave the module disconnected? In this circumstance I don’t see an issue with doing so.

I thought this also but in 2000 or 2001 they went to a LED based lamp that's hardwired into the cluster. I completely disassembled my cluster thinking I could just pull the bulb.

I don't think I covered this back when I'd first started chasing this issue. If you all remember I'd gone in and swapped the wires going to the alternator module from Premier Power. So just to clarify since it didn't initially cure the issue the wires are polarity based. So even though the wires on the Amazon plug I'd received are both Black the ones from the plug in the Hotwire harness are color coded. One is Green and the other is Black.
I tested this today with jumper wires as I was attempting to diagnose the Check Gauges light.

I needed to replace 3 of these clips for the radiator. The two top ones were my main issue. But then the bottom drivers side decided to act up too. I replaced the bolts also while I was at it.

But all replaced and back together.

I've got new bulbs coming tomorrow for the dash cluster and then I can finally tap up the wiring and mount the dash.

Headers are still supposed to arrive Friday. UPS is saying before noon too so we'll see.
Tomorrow I've got to pickup the socket that broke on me so I won't get started until after 1PM. I'm going to get my Tig torch back out and play with it for a while.

Yes they would be a PITA to have to come up with a new solution. Depending on where they are they can suck to try and replace. Like the bottom of the radiator when everything is already installed.

Believe me I've been learning all about when shit doesn't fit where it's supposed to because you've got something One Off. Seems like I've been fighting that through this whole adventure.

I'd rather let others be the trailblazer to be honest.

Tried to use my Tig torch and I SUCK...........

So I pulled out the rub rails I'd attempted to make before. I admittedly didn't get even close to the craftsmanship of some others here but they will work for now.
I've got longer pieces to try the bend like @Alex01 did. But that can wait for a later date.

I used the drill press to bevel the holes for the bolts.

UPS can't make up it's own mind...
I got two text messages about a package being delivered tomorrow and one on Friday........

They're BOTH the Holley headers. Same tracking # too. So if they show up tomorrow I'll be happy and if they show up Friday it's when they were originally supposed to get here.

Are they polarity dependent? You may have to flip them around.

LED's are always polarity dependent. I had a couple loose connections in my gage cluster...The little connector sockets have bumps that smear off...take a look at those. I think when I fixed mine I spread the contacts open further to make them touch "harder"
