Red exhaust manifold

There is no anti theft on these rigs is there ? I wonder if it comes down to it if I can get a used ECM and swap it ? I am just thinking out loud before I have researched it any. Might need programming. I have the stuff to do it, it’s just a huge pain and cost $99 for the one time data plug for the specific rig you’re programming.

Some do have the key with the transmitter in them. I have never seen one in person. https://www.quadratec.com/products/55216_212.htm

I MAY have finally found my answer ! Last night while doing diagnostics I unplugged the upstream O2 while running to note fuel trim changes. The jeep side of the plug literally fell apart in my hand !!! It is brittle and I believe not maintaining connection. I fiddled with it and the fuel trims were all over the map. I’m going to order a new plug and splice it in. I pray this is the weird answer I’ve been looking for.

Hell yeah man,I'm glad you found what could be the probable cause !
I was having issues with weird fuel trims too but it was just a faulty NTK sensor! Drove me crazy for quite a bit bounced back and fourth with my old and new sensors swapping them around using extensions.......and wham.....a faulty sensor 😆

I knew from the jump it was probably some weird simple shit I just wasn’t seeing.

Damn. Occam’s Razor. Hopefully that is it, but it would explain the symptoms.

It ran better than it ever has with the O2 unplugged. I’m looking for a new plug. If I can’t find one I’ll make my own.

I'd be checking O2 voltage on the original now. It should be less than.9v. Generally and simplistically saying.

My theory is you have a custom tune. Probably a bad one.

Removing the O2 made the Jeep use the default fuel tables.

Former PO did a timing chain and the timing gears were one tooth off. After correction all my issues are now dust in the wind !
