I am ready to order floor covering.

Since I removed the backseat and the tub is for the dogs, I am thinking Bedtred is the way to go. How thick is BedTred? Is it going to insulate and quiet down the cab or is Bedrug better?

How about the front? Which is better for insulation, or should I go with mass backed ACC carpet?

I looked hard at Bedtred for same reason. I still have carpet up front but in back got a horse stall mat on sale for $40 ish. Way thicker so if it gets bouncy the dogs have some padding, can be hosed off, swept, Ect... I used garage floor pads for awhile but they didn't hold up to two dogs. The horse mat has been in over a year and still looks new

Link for mat, price want up but still way cheaper that the bedrug stuff

I like carpet. I have seen the BedTred, but I have BedRug front and rear. If I had dogs that shed I would be looking at the BedTred because animal hair gets in every carpet and is hard to get out. Or something like @inkedrose has sounds like it is really good for those with dogs. Then you could put the BedRug in the front only.

Can someone with BedTred post an actual pic? I only see the pics on the website.

I looked at YouTube...duh.

I like the idea of BedTred but I want to easily be able to get it in and out so I am going with BedRug and Kilmat.

It sounds like the front BedTred is pretty still and difficult to get in and out.

I did Bedtred on my 97. Love it. It's wet and muddy in the PNW. And two wet and muddy dogs.

I think it was episode 8 I installed my Bedtred...might have been 7...

Good choice.

I used a WeatherTech floor liner in the front floorboards over the BedRug. I really like it because my carpet still looks brand new after two years. Ideally, if you go this route you’ll need the floor clip to hold the liners in place. Last time I checked they were a few dollars on Amazon.

I have the Bedrug in the front and BedTread in the rear of my LJ. I also have Bedrug in the bed of my truck. I like the Bedrug up front. It is easy to clean and looks really nice. It has very limited heat insulation. When I had it installed by itself my legs were cooking. I installed some insulation underneath it and it's all good now. The Bedtread is nice in the rear. Easy to sweep out and keep clean. The only negative I noticed is is doesn't offer much sound insulation.
The Bedrug in my truck has taken the most abuse and I can say Bedrugs claims may be a little exaggerated. It will stain. I carried some greasy axles a couple years ago and despite multiple cleaning attempts the oil stains are still there. It also does fade a bit if it is in the sun. I had the bed open for one summer and the color faded a bit. Overall I'm still happy with it in the Jeep. I wouldn't recommend it for a pickup that sees and real use.

I ended up with the BedTred in the front and the BedRug in the rear. I wanted a bit of soft for the pups and the wife dislikes carpet.

Rehashing an old post, but I’m about to order this stuff myself.

Can
Anyone with the bedtred and bedrug explain the difference between the 2?

Pics aren’t always worth a thousand words.

Thanks

Carpet vs vinyl matting.

I'm not happy with my Bedtred at all. Overpriced.

If you do put either down invest in some heat and sound blocking material like DEI Boom Mat.

I completely agree with Mac. Avoid the Bedtred. It is best described as a thin foam vinyl mat. I bought it for the rear of my LJ and was not impressed. The fitment was poor and it does not feel very durable. I doubt it would stand up to much abuse. It also has no sound absorption if that is a concern. I would never purchase it again or recommend it.
The Bedrug is marginally better. I have it in the front of my Jeep and I had it as a bedliner in an F150 I had. In the front of my Jeep I had to install insulation underneath it as the exhaust heat cooked my right leg. As a bedliner it saw a lot more abuse. It held up ok for but did fade from only 1 summer of sun. It was far from stain proof as oil spots could not be removed even with degreaser and a pressure washer. The biggest advantage I found is it is very lightweight. I chose it specifically for the weight savings and would likely use it again despite it's flaws. Depending on what your needs are I may or may not recommend it. If you need something that is light, easy to remove and looks nice it is a reasonable choice. If you are just wanting to replace old, worn out stock carpeting then I would recommend a mass backed carpet kit. I seem to recall many forum members using and recommending ACC carpet kits.
